  • NE Gathering

I don't want to ruin Marv's thread... so I'll start another.

Seems like we may have some interest from the North-Eastern Veggie-goers... and i threw out Letchworth State Park.

1 Letchworth State Park Castile, NY 14427

Nothing stopping you other guys from driving up if you're not in the area. WNY is BEAUTIFUL during all seasons. Don't let the news fool you.

Local guys - Post up availability and or any other place you think might be more convenient and/or fun for a gathering.

    Thanks!

I'm in for June - (in May/Memorial Day-ish, I'm driving to/fm Colorado - hopefully on oil!) - anyplace in the NE where we could camp/hike/fish will keep the fam happy. I'd be bringing the wife & 4 munchkins, assuming it's a family-type gathering. The kids call the Excursion the "M-bus" - for Munson, of course...

Letchworth is awesome; Lake George is awesome; Vermont would be awesome; whatever is fine with me.

I was hoping for a completely family friendly event. I wouldn't mind camping out... though the wife might... thats ok, we don't live far from there.

How far is that from Long Lake NY? We will be out there around that time for family get together,so this WILL work.VTVEG,are you able to get that timeframe to meetup? I will be able to haul some oil for the Longhaulers (myself included),is .5 micron to everyones specs? If you don't have a locale nailed down,I used to drive truck in NE(and some NY),so I know all the good Scenery(Qeuchee Gorge,Berkshires,White MTNS,Lake Champlain,WEIRS BEACH etc)...............greasy

Since my wife is a teacher and some of you guys have kids... I think when school lets out would be the most convenient.

Like I said before, pretty much anywhere, anytime works for me. The only time I can think of that is really no good for me is Memorial Day weekend. I can definitely help out with some extra oil to top off some tanks too. There are definitely plenty of beautiful spots here in VT, but I'd love to check out somewhere else. Western NY seems a little more central to everyone anyway.

I am planning on trying to do both provided they both happen. Fuel is cheap if you know what I mean and hopefully I should have a fairly open schedule this summer.

Right now it seems like the TN meet is up in the air as far as location and time.

This is not necessarily competing with it, just more likely to happen and more likely to please the "masses". Seemed like the TN gathering was in TN because it was convenient for a few. This meet is convenient for a bunch. They can be on separate days if need be, I don't want to ruffle any feathers.

The "masses"?? LMAO...there are half a dozen active members here and if 5 of those show up at either meet, that will be doing good.

I purpose two annual meetings one up North during the summer, and one down south during the cold months. This would make us one big happy family, and we could ALL see each others neck of the woods.I believe that we should feel forunate we have this many Vegistrokers ,and that it is good to be different. So that said, either NY or TENN is close with cheap fuel, and if we did this twice a year thats twice as much BEER..............sure beats the hell outta driving to the Pacific Northwest for a "DFA' based event...............didn't think of that did we...............greasy
