  • Sources in Northen VA...

What's up guys!? I am the only college kid in my area to be into this. But I am getting a diesel this summer. Really want a F250 but might end up with an older mercedes or something else. Anyway I talk to some owners about getting their oil and such but I will only be home in Northen VA from May to August. A month in December, so anyone got any good sources? Temp sources I mean. Just for a few months. I am poor as hell as books and food costs eat my cash fast. I am right near Manassas at home and go to school in Farmville.... Any help in getting oil would be awesome thanks! ^.^

    Hello,

Your school cafeteria would be the FIRST place I'd go looking. Just tell them you are working on an alternative fuels project and have them pour it back into the cubies it came to them in. After that, look to local pizza joints that fry wings and chinese places which fry... everything. A lot of times, the chains (McDonald's, etc.) have regional grease contracts - the independents are your best first starting point.

    Good luck!

Eric is right...hit up those local joints first. Especially the ones you frequent quite often...and if you don't go there often, start. The more they see you there, the better chance you have of getting to know them personally. And that will go a long way in talking someone into letting you have their oil.
