There is alot of talk on other sites about running this in your primary tank; anyone here ever do it? What were your results?

I've considered it, because I know it works. But... if anything breaks on my truck, whether or not it is my fault, my wife will hang me.

I also don't use enough engine oil or tranny fluid to make it worth the risk.

i know of one guy who claims to have been doing this for years in 2 of his PSDs...he goes to places like wal mart and takes there waste oil from the bin and filters it.
Don't think i would mess with it.

Another vote for not going to go there....too much to chance and it just wouldn't be worth the risk to me.

Waste fryer oil has glycerol and stuff, waste engine oil and tranny fluid has metal bits if you want to spray shards of metal through your expensive injectors fine by me. As for me I'll stick with WVO

From the other sites that discuss this my understanding is that the wmo is filtered just like wvo so any metal debris is removed. There are quite a few people that have been running wmo without any reported issues.

I was asked this week about burning either partial mix or full strength used vehicle oil as fuel. This, as I understand it, would come from a service facility for large trucks and motorhomes. The question is can you burn that type of oil as fuel? If so, what would you have to do to it to make...

Is there a place to go that has some real good info on using WMO without all of the input from the people that are against it? Every thread here starts out great and then get's into some guy interjecting why it is a bad idea, or veggie is better, or bio is the way to go. I just want good...

Who's been running for a while on this stuff? I'm somewhere around the 1500-1800 mark. I'm running 80/20 or even higher. Does anyone have something like 25k or even into the 6 figures? Also, I don't mean adding 2 gallons every 3 tanks. I'm talking about basically substituting WMO for...

Burning it in your motor is better than burying it... or someone else burning it.

                    Same difference right?

How about centrifuging for reuse,25% used to 75% new and cut the rest with WVO as Bar and chain oil?I believe the more oil we re use instead of burning will result in less demand for foreign oil.I currently have been using above mixture for bar and chain oil for 2 years with no problems. If you cut with kero you could use either as 2 cycle oil.Spend awile in front of a ASTM chart of petroleum products and you will see with filtration, just how much you can reuse............greasy

How else do you keep the bugs away while you mow?

First thing I'd do with a mower is over fill it with oil and losen the gap on the plug.

                              lol
