  • Northeasterners, I'm headed to your neck of the woods...

Looks like I'll be up in Maine and New Hampshire next week for a few days for work. Portland Maine and Rochester/Portsmouth New Hampshire to be exact.

Won't have a lot of time to kill, but I do plan on finding something good to eat while I'm there. Maine lobster anyone?

So anyone know of some good places to eat in either Portland or Portsmouth (NH)?

Might as well get in a good meal while I'm up that way...

Check out The Kittery Trading Post in Kittery, Maine. They have the 2nd biggest gun room I have ever been in! there is a pretty good sea food place right across the street called The Weathervane. If you have time you should see what shows are playing at The Hamptom Beach Casino; which isn't a casino at all, just a big showroom.

    Be fun!

Thanks for the tips guys, I really appreciate it. I'll be flying in, so the only driving involved will be in a rental. Wish I had more time to stop and visit, but I don't think it'll happen this time around.

For eats, I may definitely check out the Di Millos that Greasy mentioned...sounds interesting. And Jack, if I have time on Monday evening, I might look into the Weathervane and the Trading Post. I'll be staying there on Monday night before driving up to Rochester on Tuesday morning.

            Thanks!

Welp, figured I'd say that the Weathervane is some good eating!!!

I'm in Portsmouth now and me and some co-workers rode up the Kittery Trading Post and ate at the Weathervane for dinner. The Trading Post has quite the selection of guns I might add. I was impressed. Pretty cool store overall.

And the food was great. Coconut shrimp and a "lazy man's lobster" later and I'm about stuffed! Thanks for the recommendations!

Off to Rochester in the morning and then back up to Portland for the night. Might hit up DiMillo's tomorrow evening.

                            Thanks!

Dimillo's........ pretty good eats. last time I was there there was a two lobster deal. I couldn't decide so I had one baked (with stuffing) and one steamed. As I recall it was pretty good.
