Has anyone replaced the drain valve on the stock fuel filter bowl? I have one that is leaking and I need to get it rreplaced. Any tips or tricks to make it easier? How long should it take?

If it's coming from the drain valve, it is probably the two o rings. I changed mine out with #90 o rings from Home Depot. It's easy to replace. It's been 13 months since I changed mine. 50 bucks from the Dealership or 3 bucks from Home Depot.2001 Excursion, V3, TS Chip, Walker BTM.

The valve itself was the issue on our Excursion. The whole thing was $32 (http://catalog.powerstrokeshop.com/p...&subcat2=74463) That is the place to get anything OE for our trucks btw. Don't get raped by the stealership!!
Be aware that 'rubber' o-rings may not last long in ULSD and definately not long in B100 service. Viton is much better...
As for how long? Well, its just (4) screws - but they are a little tough to reach. It took me about 2 hrs start to finish, but most of that was cursing and subsequently cooling off. I replaced the o-rings (viton) in F350 way back when I did the VO conversion, just because I had removed the filter bowl and it was EASY. I'd say it should take no more than 2-3 beers for each person present, but you may want a few more to celebrate the victory!2001 F350 XLT 4x4, dually flatbed. 6637 air filter, single-shot injectors, straight-piped, BTS tunes, 200 gal main VO tank - 180k greasy miles
