  • ~Jason~ Ever seen a Jeep Liberty 2.8 CRD

I am buying one and getting rid of the wifes mustang...she want more usable passenger space and she wants to burn vegi too...sooo.
I wonder if theres a way to put the V3 module on a liberty?

GreasyX, i would love to see some detailed pics of the conversion your libby has.

heres some pics of the one i found...its clean as hell and priced right with alot of extras - front bumber, lift, wheels and tires, custom leather seats...
They guy is bringing it to me from Ft. Worth - hes moving to OK and currently is in the process of staging to sell him place in Ft. Worth. So hes going to get a car dolly nad bring it this Sunday when he comes back for work...what a deal!
If i can't convert it easily, i may have a lead on buying some bio for 1.50 a gallon so that will be an option. BUT i really want to convert it so Jason/James, if you can tell me how to do it, i will buy another V3!
A vegi conversion and a mild tune for this little 2.8 liter....sweeet!

Clay, all the info on stats and specs are on Lostkjs.com,this is the best place for Libby community. Please look into ReCALLS if they have been done saves alot of headache. Also look in to SEGR as 2.8 crd have egr issues and that mod($100),takes it out of the picture.Goodluck again thegreasybrothers@yahoo is where all stats are,yes it's a e-mail page, but also used for there biz, with lots of photos in gallery. Also on Youtube under thegreasybrothers Liberty crd. There are a total of 7 videos on my libby.Hope this helps,Also PM me your Snail mail address and I'll mail copy of disk with the whole install.I don't want to put it on the web,to easy for another company to take info and capitalize on fabricators Blood, sweat, and Engineering.PS I don't think you want that delivered on dolly, its rear wheel drive with a very expensive drive line(if need be rear wheels on dolly).Hope it works out if you grease it you will be the3rd or 4th in country that i've come across 1)Mine2)Frybrid built one3)yours 4)?...greasy
2000 7.3X V3 So much fun,so little time,Support small Oil,burn WVO,Free and greasy down the road I go!!!!!!!!!!completely self sufficient and proud of it. (Wood furnace.....X.......solar pontoon....solarsheat twins this summer.....I don't Know much.......I'm just a hillbilly with too many guns..............

Good looking Liberty Clay...I like it.

I'd almost bet that the V3 would be close to universal for a number of apps. The temp, pressure switch, pump and filter setup all could be used on a number of vehicles. Only thing that might need some modification is the purge system and how the fuel is delivered to the engine.

I'd like to hear Jason or James chime in on this one...

I have a EDGE trail module that alters ignition to burn WVO more completely. It also gives it very big power, somewhere in the ballpark of 190-200HP and 320 ft pounds of torque. The weak link in this lil suvs are Torque converter(recall),and EGR(recall as well),if there is a check engine light its EGR and will smell like burnt Hydraulic fluid..............great lil hotrod ask the wifes brand new speeding ticket......greasy

Don't let anyone lie to you, recalls were across the board 05-06,once you get those squared away(TC Tune,SEGR,and lube rear slip yoke) it is best lil diesel suv in the world.Bang for the buck beats those lil diesel MBs,hands down.Make sure you know any and all mods from day one and if it spent alot of time at the dealer.Jeep should have cleaned emission up and kept making them, they had the only lil suv diesel built in america(penn.).But greed got in the way for the $45,000 cherokee option. If interested there are 6 spds available for them anywhere else in the world...greasy

seller assured me recalls had been done. Original owner and his jeep has spend only a couple days in the shop - for that recal.

If this looks good to you,buy it,be careful who ya tell I had a guy from VT try to buy it out from under my nose(he saw me talking about it on another forum). If it has over 33 or 35 inch tires check transfer shaft pitch and angle for wear.Just like powerstroke they don't like to idle a long time.Make sure it still has correct oil and anti-freeze in it,if incorrect it WILL cause damage $$$.The anti freeze is Electrolitic, and should look orangish/ blue.Check service records for corrent fluids,i read about people F%^king up the libbys with wrong fluids, putting correct in it and putting up for sale.LOSTKJs.com has all this in there CRD section good luck, hope you becomea Jeeper Greaser.............greasy
