I have a strange issue with my purge. 1st of all, I am running a V1 upgraded to V2 kit.
I started noticing this issue last winter. The system has been running fine except for when I re-start my truck after it has been turned off for a short period of time. I turn the truck off in auto mode. The system goes through the normal purge cycle like it should and shuts off after 1 minute. When I restart the truck anfter it has been shut off for a short period of time, the system starts back up in purge mode. My pressure gage is showing about 20psi (purging) and I hear the engine knocking due to low fuel pressure so it is a confirmed purge and not just low fuel pressure. The only way I can get it to stop purging is put it in manual mode.
I initially thought the purge was stuck open due to I run a some partially hydrogenated oil. However, my last 2 tanks of oil have been new canola oil and the air temp has been in the 60's in North Carolina.
This doesn't happen everytime I restart. When it happens, it only happens when it is a quick restart (has not been sitting for a long period of time). I have tried holding in the purge button and it will not stop. I switch it from manual to auto and the purge stops as soon as I switch to manual and it will continue to purge if I immediately switch it back to auto. After a while, I will switch back to auto and everything is fine
Any ideas?
Thanks
