Mel is having difficulty getting his V3 working. With all of you on this forum in addition to help from DFA, I'm hoping we can get him fixed up. Thanks everyone for the help you may provide.
A quote from Mel in another thread, "I can't adjust the run time,I get 50 seconds and I can't change it, the timer wheel doesn't do anything!!!"
You need to make an adjustment to allow you to change the run time. Do this by finding the dip switches on top of the timer card. There will be 4 little white switchers in there that will be labeled 1,2,3,4,. #1 should be off, and 2,3,4 will be on as it came from DFA. You will need to flip #2 to off as well. This changes the timing from 1-60 seconds to 1-60 minutes. Next turn the thumbwheel all the way CCW. Now start testing the run time and move the thumbwheel in extremely small increments until you get close to a minute or whatever you want your setting to be. You do not have to have the vehicle running to do this, only the key on.
Hope this will help. Please post other problems or questions as you get each item addressed. - Patrick
