  • 40 gal under belly Tank!

Just to let you know we are working on an under belly tank that will fit in place of the spare tire for trucks. It will hold about 40 gals and we should have a prototype on our hands in about a month and half.

Any idea how deep it is going to be? I probably wouldn't mind going a bit deeper to fit 60 gallons if it was possible.

I'd love to ditch the tank in my bed.

Me too. I already have a short bed , but with that thing in there I might as well have a big trunk. Not complaining though... I would give up everything else on the trunk before I would get rid of my vegistroke. Still though, with the tank out of the way I would be able to haul my bike with the tailgate closed.

The whole reason i got my dually was so i could buy a 11' Lance slide in camper...then the vegi tank was introduced....

In the bed of the truck probably. Just out of curiosity(I have obviously never had to use mine) would the stock spare tire even be recommended to use with trucks like Jack's and mine?

It would be really nice if you could flip up the license plate and fill it up like that. Would require cutting, but would be totally worth it IMO.

Hooter, you probably should have a spare that matches your tire diameter...you'll need it one day!
I have used mine twice. But actually i "could" pull the inside dually off and put it on the front for a spare if i needed too.

I just went with a little bigger tire when I replaced mine and I asked the guy at the tire shop about keeping his eyes open for a spare. He told me he had one out back and if I came back in a week when things slowed down he would mount it for free. I know a few guys that actually purchase five tires & rims and rotate the spare in.

It would be nice to get the truck bed back. Between my toolbox and the 51 gallon tank my long bed doesn't feel so long anymore. Can't wait to see it!

I don't carry a spare anyway. I guess I could... but it would take up too much room, and would be an extra 200lbs that I probably wouldn't use anyway. I'd have to bring my own jack and blocks of wood to lift it up anyway

Thats where I was going to put a poly tank and fill through the bed or license plate, but if they are going to make one for me...

I have a full spare spare on a a fabtech mount in the bed. I rarely run with it though. With that and my tank, I have absolutely no bed. Only time I mount it is when I go on a trip. Then I feel better knowing I have it. If I ever need it any other time I am relying on a friend to swing by my house, pick it up and bring it to me. I'll find out who my friends are that day. Now I will put this tread back on track.

Can't wait to see the new tank!
