V3 Switchover

Does anyone have any idea if u can use most of the parts of a 6.0 v3 kit on a dodge.

I see dfa now has a kit for the ram.

I really want a dodge and honestly the only reason I bought a ford was because of the v3 system.

I understand the engine components are probably different but is the rest of the system the same?

yes, i'm sure most of it will swap over.

most likely fittings and a few other minor things you will need. Best bet would be to call though

I'd give DFA a call and see what's involved in converting it over to work on a Dodge. As Wilson mentioned, I'd bet 95% of it's the same...I imagine fittings are the only major difference.

So to answer my own question. I was talking to Jason the other day about something completely different. So I asked him how easily they would interchange.

What he told me is the two kit are the same general concept but that is where the similarities stop. The manifold is different, it is mounted on the drivers side of the truck rather than the passenger side. He did say with a lot of work you could make them work but after he explained everything to me that it would take to do so it sounded like it would be easier and maybe even cheaper to sell the v3 for the ford (keep the tank of course) and buy a dodge kit.

Good info Ael...glad you posted that up. I never considered that the manifolds would be different.

Definitely sounds like it'd be easier to just buy the kit.
