  • Vegistroke theft possible???

The thought crossed my mind today when looking at my truck with the lift and all. Just curious if anyone has heard of this happening or ever gave it a second thought. It would take a pretty knowledgeable thief to piece together the rest, but he would have a good start. I think I am going to fill my veggie tank tonight to make it harder to steal.

Never given it much thought really. I've wondered if anyone looks at my tank odd, but never really worried much about it.

Of course, mine is stock height...so it'd be harder to get underneath there and see what's going on.

Has anybody researched insurance coverage? I was told awhile back that my auto policy would cover my horse trailer if it was damaged while hooked to the vehicle and that I would need seperate coverage for stand-alone coverage. What would happen if you were involved in an accident and the V3 module got mangled? Really no different that most after-market add ons I would guess but it seems that most usually get screwed on those items. Curious to hear your thoughts.

My insurance man told me as long as my modifications were not the reason for the accident, they would cover them.

Perhaps a Extruded steel frame with security head bolts are in order. If someone ever stole the V3 off my X,they better beable to outrun two pitbulls and a sniper rifle(.223).I think you could sell them, with a good profit for your labor. This would come in handy for all of us that go wheelin or MUDDIN as well.Could you imagine someone stealing it for the Aluminum Scrap................greasy

Your more likely to have someone crawl under there with a cordless sawzall to jack your cat converter...that happens rather often around here. T^hey can cut it off and be gone in under 1 minute.
I straight piped mine and deleted the cat and kept it - the muffler shop wanted to keep it (its worth 100 bucks to recycle) but i told them i would be taking it home.
