      yeah its 5/8"
I need to find one myself...my V3 didn't come with it so i just figured it would be easy to drop in the local tool store and buy one but so far i have dropped in on 3 tool stores and when i ask for a 5/8" alan, they look at me like my head is on fire.
Was gonna look on ordering one off the net somewhere.

If I were you I would get a 5/8" hex socket. You can get them at Sears for about $20. It is much easier to use with an extension and ratchet vs. the allen wrench...lots of stuff in the way.

Yep, I agree with Triple and that's exactly what I plan to do. In fact, I'm glad this thread was posted, cause I wasn't sure of the size...Lol...

I think a ratchet would make the job much, much easier...

A ratchet definately sounds like the way to go...never thought about that.
              Thanks!

By the way, anyone else had problems getting the allen wrench to fit into the pre-filter cap?

Don't know if the cap is dinged up or what, but I can barely get the wrench in there halfway when pulling that thing out. Next time I have it out, I guess I'm gonna take a file to it and see if I can't clean it up a bit.

I think it is the allen wrench and not the cap.

That is what I do here in the shop because we use the same one over and over again the edges get tough to fit in the cap. Just take a file and soften the edges a bit but not the corners and it should work just fine.

I wondered that as well Triple, but I never think to look at it once it's out of the manifold.

Excellent John, thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to check it out next time I have it out of the manifold.

Bill, I've been meaning to find one of these. If I happen to come across one before you find one, I'll send you the info.

                            Thanks!

I'm thinkin it would be easier to cut the end off of a 5/8" allen and drop it in a 5/8" socket.
