  • New DFA collection pump

So what would you guys say if I told you we were just around the corner from offering a 12vdc pump tht can pump 4.75gpm, can pass solids of up an inch and a half in diameter wihtout plugging, is easy to repair and clean, rediculously reliable, can be rebuilt, draws less than 10 amp(plugs into cigarette lighter) and can be had for about $250 or less? Then there will also be the little brother version that can pump 2.75gpm, and pump solids of 1 inch in diameter that will probably go for about $200. Final pricing is still being determined based on standard features.

    So any one interested?

care to offer that in an AC version as well? It might make a good alternative to the clear water pump feeding my centrifuge.

I would most definately be interested!!!! My current winter collection method consists of a trash pump. Loud, heavy and a mess in my truck.

Whats it weigh? I'd be shipping it across the country.

Sounds great. Any idea how it will do with oil that is cold but thick enough to flow? - Patrick

i have use for a 12v pump once a year at best (this weekend for instance) so i don't think that would be cost effective for me but for anyone pumping oil weekly for collection, that would be awsome!

Sounds very interesting... when you have the specs/details worked out can you give us a side by side comparison with the Fill-Rite 1604?

I would be in for one also. I recently built the SBC oil pump, pump. It works good but will lock up if a semi solid object gets in there.
