  • Finally had to fill up - 111.1 MPG (Diesel) over 2750 miles w/V3!

Well, finally burned through my first tank of diesel since running the V3 full time. After almost 5 weeks and over 2750 miles of driving, I was able to determine that I am getting the equivalent of 111.1 MPG on diesel by using the V3!!!

    Needless to say, I'm pleased!!

Was hoping to see 3000 miles on one tank of diesel, but I'll take this for starters. Did quite a bit of quick trips over the past month that I wouldn't usually do, so I'm think that on a "normal" month, I could probably see 3000 miles on one tankful of #2.

So what are you guys getting?

    Thanks!

    Quick trips are killing me.

I started on veggie with 3/4 tank diesel, maybe a little less. My fuel light came on this morning, and I've put about 1500 miles on oil.

Your results are based on the duration of your trips on oil. The furthest I've driven is Buffalo to Rochester.

Ditto. 75% of my driving is through town short distances - but then again, I knew that going into it, so it was expected. My payoff period is longer, but I still love ridingreasy! I'm averaging around 40MPDG supplementing w/veg...which is still over 100% better than stock I keep telling my wife we need to move further out of town, just so I can bring my ratio up.

Short trips here too. Usually 55 miles per day and average 35 miles per gal.

I topped off the day I finished the install exactly 15 days ago-now I'm at just over half a tank (about 22-23 gallons), and I figure it'll be at least another 2 weeks before I fill up again. I forgot to take down the mileage when I filled up (DOH!)...but I figure I've done about 1400 miles so far. I've done a lot of short trips on the weekends but normally I do a 42 mile (both ways) commute six days a week. I think I'm going to start using my 4 cylinder Toyota gasser pickup for trips to the brush dump, the store, etc...on the weekends. As it is I've been meaning to but some Sta-bil in the tank because I hardly drive the thing anymore.

on normal day to day driving to work, i will see around 2000 - 2500 miles per tank of diesel.
The best i have done was a trip to Hot Springs AR from Tuttle, OK and back the next day 2 startups (summertime short switchovers), 2 shutdowns...about a quart of diesel and 700 miles...2,800 mpg of diesel
This Dec. we are planning to drive to MN to see the inlaws...we usually make it a straight shot with a couple fast bathroom stops....that will be 900 miles without turning the truck off at all and my 90 gallon vegi tank will get me all the way there with some left over. The bummer is, unless i can find some vegi up north, i'll have to return on diesel part way.

Post over at the infopop forums-you might be able to find somebody up that way who can help you out. Or just stock up and carry some extra with you maybe? One of these days we want to make a trip to see my fiancee's family down in Florida (2400 mile round trip) on WVO. I figure a full tank (60 gallons) and two 55 gallon drums in the bed will do it

I have 4,800 miles on the vegistroke and have filled up twice and still have a little less than a half a tank on the second fill up.

                  THANKS JASON!

Sounds like everyone else is doing alright as well.

Triple, you must do a lot of highway driving. What size diesel tank do you have in your truck?
