Just curious how the certified installers become "certified" Does it have to be in a formal shop with ASE mechanics? If so, could there be also be a list of "on the side" installers?

I do a decent amount of side jobs in the garage for my play money, and would love the opportunity to do the same with a few Vegistroke installations every now and then. The certified list doesn't currently have anything near the midwest, so it just got me thinking.

I think if Jason deams you as certified to do work on behalf of DFA, then your in. So basically jason has to know what your capabilities are as well as attention to detail and customer care.

I was thinkin' the same about South Florida. Not me necessarily, but I truly believe there are more Ford Superduty & Excursions here than any where else I've been. I have already been approached by 2 people in a month that want the Vegistroke.

I have installed at least 30 goldenfuel systems in trucks,Rv, and cars. The dino system is 20 times easier to install. Golden systems come with rolls of wire with no ends put on,a plastic valve, tons of hose clamps, a racor filter thats three foot tall which looks really good in your truck bed, so you pretty much build your kit out of a bunch of parts thrown into a cardboard box. Dino fuels has it going on. Install went smooth and only took a few hours.

I've considered this a few times. Especially since I don't think there are certified installers in the southern US. At least not that I know of.

Wonder if my install thread would be enough to vouch for my abilities...haha.

Haha...well, it did take a while. But, it was my truck, so I wasn't in a hurry.

I imagine I could do it quicker if need be. First time always takes a bit longer.

I don't think Chris has many dealing with GF other than replacing thier systems with a better one.

Merely stating technology is shared, sold, bought, and traded.Remember when GFS were the only one with a EXcursion underbody tank?everyone thought they were cool then..........we all learn from each other,be it installs or corparations.I can remember when it was Greasecar, greasel, and Elsbett. And a few solo guys(Hi dana),that was it.It's ALL of US against Big oil.:

It was these companies that inspired Jason to do what he does,it turn if not for these folks U and I would not be talking about this because DFA,Vegistroke,FN74,and your position on this forum would not exist. Why can't we all just admire all acomplishments that got us to this freedom from the fuel pump.

Greasy- You are absolutely right. I was inspired by GFS and greasecar back in the day. I spent a lot of time researching what they did, and how the PSD worked. And like SOOOOO many of us, I KNEW that I could do it better, cheaper and easier. How wrong was I!!

I looked at GFS over a year ago and did not buy. I like the fact that DFA specialized in PSD. Thats what sold me. Then i got on the forums and everyone spoke highly of their customer service and quality of product. Sold!
