  • Oil Spot

Yesterday I changed my pressure switch and that solved my light staying on in all positions. I noticed that there was a small spot of oil residue on the bottom of the pump, not big, about the size of a #1 pencil. Smaller that a dime. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this.
    Here is the pic.

Elvia, i cleaned up some post here...i see you figured out how to post pics but i fixed it in your first post.
As far as the oil spot, i saw one on mine as well but its dryed and i think its left over residue from the install.
I see you have hose clamps on the JIC fitting...theres no need and in fact i think you could damage the hose when you tighten a clamp on those. Those fittings are not the typical "barbed" fitting, the barbs on those are much more pronopunced and by clamping them it could cut into the hose. I think i would take them off.

Thats the weep hole of the pump,I've only seen this when pressure was to high........better to weep then too leak.P.S clay is right,my centrifuge has the same fittings ,that runs at 90 PSI ,with no prblems after 1000 gallons of use,it won't leak unless you crush it.grease out

Thanks, I didn't think it was a problem it is just a small spot. I'll keep an eye on it. and probably remove the clamps.
