Nothing radical at all, just a good, rock solid daily driver. I put on ~ 500 miles per week traveling from saranac to Schenectady, so as I said in another post, Idiot Proof is the way to go for me! Auto is fine if it hasn't been used as a 5th wheel; long or short bed doesn't really matter to me, but my Queen may have trouble docking a long bed.
Congrats man, and welcome to the Family! If you need anything don't be afraid to give us a call.
James, you've already shown me what DFA is all about, that's why you have my business and why I will stump for you all at DFA any time I can!

Trucks are everywhere but where I am! I haven't found one that I would be interested in looking at within 2 hours of me in Schenectady; in Saranac - forget it!
I took one day off last week to try to look at three of them, from Fitchburgh, Mass. to Rhode Island. The one in Mass was gone the morning after I called about it, as was the one in Rhode Island. I did get to look at one near Newburgh, NY, and it was OK, but since it was the first one I looked at I don't want to be too anxious and jump on one too soon. Plus I have to peddle my '01 Tundra before I can buy my veggie burner!
Thank you all for your input and words of encouragement!
Diesel land{,hookset NH },Tims Truck capital Epsom N.H.,not sure of site name ,but in White River Junction VT there is a Big ford shop.Other then that craigslist is a good source and you can go state by state,i go there 2 times daily looking for Diesel to convert .I have bought 2 of the 3 VW i own on there.I also found the porcshe My dad had when i was a kid, buying it this week-end,dropping a diesel in it ASAP........good luck, let me know how it's going shopping. If you want the best deal on any truck, walk into the shop and ask for their bottom line, put them on the spot. This techique got me the GREASY Xfor $3,700 below blue book...grease out
